Maulana Yusuf Motala (may Allah have mercy on his soul) (1946–2019) passed away in Toronto on September 8th 2019. He was one of the giants of Islam in Britain and he had a huge influence upon the development of Muslim communities in Britain in the latter half of the twentieth century and after. Mufti Abdur Raheem Limbada, who was one of the early students of him, shares some of his memories with the community in Al Ihsan Institute, Surrey, BC.
