Power Supply Restored In Most Parts Of Mumbai City After Major Blackout

Power supply has been restored in most parts of Mumbai after major electricity supply failure has led to a power outage all over Mumbai city. The Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) which is responsible for supplying power to the city has confirmed the development. Maharashtra power minister Nitin Raut has said maintenance work was being done at the Kalwa Padgha CIS centre, which led to the grid failure.
BMC has shared some numbers with residents in the city in case of emergencies. Residents of Mumbai can call 022-22694727, 022-226947725 and 022-22704403 in case of any emergency.
