On August 13, 2025, the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) hosted its annual State of the Downtown Town Hall at the historic Vintage Gym at Old School Square. With more than 130 residents, business owners, city leaders, and other downtown stakeholders in attendance, the evening began with a presentation outlining the DDA’s role, responsibilities, and budget for FY25–26—while also addressing common misconceptions.

The interactive portion of the event brought community collaboration to life. Attendees were grouped into table discussions based on key challenges identified in a recent DDA survey. Each group worked together to brainstorm creative, realistic solutions for improving downtown Delray Beach. At the end, one representative from each table shared their ideas, followed by an open forum for broader community feedback.
