we have uploaded all of the work done till april 2015 on github.
Database schema was BCNF normalized. DB2 database was used so as to have triggers. Used MVC-2 architecture. Whole thing was built from scratch and no framework was used in the process.
A template was used for building the frontend which was modified according to our purpose and need.
Features:-
User can sign up, sign in, forget password.
Is greeted with a timeline which shows him his own photos and photos of the people which he has followed.
A user can search for an image based on specific tags and also caption and can also search for and follow users.
the searchresults are extracted and then images are stored to jpg format. at time of logout all these folders are deleted.
A user can add photos to bucket,photos in the bucket are given a higher preference in a users timeline.
password encrypted and then stored in database.
Stored images in BLOB in database.
pulse is calculated on basis of views and likes. for faster login and username availability.. all username and the converted passwords are extracted from the database and stored in Hashmap so that queries are not fired for it every time a username availability is checked or a person tries login.
