Your thyroid is one of the most sensitive organs in your body and it's particularly sensitive to chemicals and toxins. These compounds, collectively known as endocrine disruptors, can negatively impact thyroid function in several ways including by interfering with thyroid hormone binding on the nuclear receptor.
The good news is that, for most people, these harmful compounds are easily eliminated by the body. The bad news is that this isn't always true for people with existing thyroid problems.
Because thyroid problems impact bowel movements, your ability to sweat, and the function of your liver, some people aren't as good as others at eliminating them.
If that's you, here are some tips to help your body get rid of them:
1. Sweat more often.
2. Improve lymphatic drainage.
3. Support liver function.
4. Have regular bowel movements.
5. Support kidney function.
Doing these things can provide an almost immediate boost to thyroid function but they aren't the only things you can do if you want to improve your thyroid.
