Infosys reports its earnings as it kicks off the Q3 earnings season. In recent sessions, information technology stocks have also witnessed strong buying fueled by hopes of an easing macro environment as central banks hop on their rate-cutting cycle. Relatively reasonable valuations of the sector especially after the bull-run in the market in 2023 have also attracted investors towards IT names. Infosys is expected to record a near 1 percent sequential decline in its topline to Rs.38,630 crore while its bottom line is likely to rise 0.5 percent to Rs.6,244 crore.
