The next day, Max dug up another bone and exclaimed, 'Two, two bones for me!' On the third day, Max came across another bone hidden under a bush. 'Three,' Max counted, feeling proud.
Each day, Max found more bones and continued to count. On the fourth day, Max found a bone near the pond. 'Four,' he happily barked. By the fifth day, Max's pile of bones was growing, 'Five bones, I am so lucky!' Max said.
Six days into his adventure of finding bones, Max found one near the old oak tree and counted, 'Six, now I have six bones!' On the seventh day, Max discovered a bone near the garden. 'Seven,' Max said with joy.
