WHERE DC PUNK TOOK FORM, MADAMS ORGAN VS THE BAR MADAM'S ORGAN

Описание к видео WHERE DC PUNK TOOK FORM, MADAMS ORGAN VS THE BAR MADAM'S ORGAN

Washington DC Punk took root in the legendary 1970s Madams Organ Art Coop. Then, years later a bar took its name. Visitors and MTV alike have been known to confuse the original one (from one block away) with this blues/funk bar. The new Madams Organ has become an important D.C. music landmark in it's own right. The original Madams Organ closed in 1980, having given a foothold to bands like the Bad Brains. Footage in this clip is of the DC band The Untouchables, filmed in the winter of 1979.
