John Deere 8RX 410 & 8RX 370 of J R Wilson & Son, Part 1.

This video features Matt Cox driving a John Deere 8RX 410 and another 8RX 370 driven by Eddy Whiteley working near Darrington in East Yorkshire, England.

The machines are owned by J R Wilson Son and are working down potato land for drilling winter wheat.
The previous potato crop was harvested in good conditions after a very difficult dry year for UK farmers.

The light soil is very fertile and usually easy working and boils under the tines and roller of the Hirsch Terrano 6.4 GX which you will see in the video.

So Matt in the John Deere 8RX 410 had an easy job in levelling the field surface and incorporating the odd bit of potato haulm.

The seed bed was then ready for Eddy Whiteley to drill the following winter wheat crop into near perfect conditions with the 6mtr Lemken Solitair 9 pulled by the slightly smaller engined 370 8RX.

You will see from some of the close up shots that the lads had satellite steering set up perfectly and didn't have to steer the tractor while facing backwards making sure the soil and haulm didn't boil up too much and block coulters or the drill.

All the machines were running on fuel supplied by me and Rix Petroleum.
