How to Write a Persuasive Essay or Speech: Monroe's Motivated Sequence

In this video, I look at a persuasive speech outline called Monroe's Motivated Sequence created by psychologist Alan H. Monroe. This outline will help you write an argumentative essay, article, or speech that will inspire your audience to action. You'll also see how you can use this outline to examine great speeches in history. I show excerpts from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech as an example.
