TransLink Buses: Buses at UQ Lakes

Back to filming with my traditional 16:9 view. I've been toggling with my new phones settings lately, and for the last few videos I've had the video setting on the widest view, which had been irking me slightly, bit it's back to normal now.

Here we see various buses at UQ Lakes Bus Station, located at the western end of the Eastern Busway, which commences at Langlands Park station. It is located directly in front of the University of QLD campus in St Lucia, in Brisbane's west. It is one of the biggest University campuses in the Brisbane metro.


This station services several routes which extend to most areas of Brisbane, including Carindale, Sunnybank Hills, Eight Mile Plains, Herston, Zillmere, Woolloongabba, Highgate Hill and West End. Due to this, buses from all Brisbane City Council bus depots, except for Eagle Farm, Toowong and Virginia on weekends and off-peak, service this station.



UQ Lakes opened in 2006, three years prior to the opening of the Eastern Busway in 2009. It was upgraded in 2011, which saw an extra platform and more sheltering added.
