story summary

A mechanical cell SOC(A.K.A self-organized chip) invented by Dr. Shimamoto Heihachiro . A giant Robot that was born with growth that exceeded expectations is the 'Jakiou(Demon King)'. Jakiou, who possesses the spirit of a loyal dog Jack despite having a monstrous heteromorphic appearance, fights with Hirahachiro's son, Shun, against the Mu empire aiming to conquer Japan. Jakiou who continues to evolve according to the situation, sometimes spreads his wings in the shape of a Pterosaur, grows a antlers like a Stegosaurus, and takes on various forms to repel the Imperial Mu Corps. Its evolution does not stop, and at the end of the manga, it finally absorbs the entire city of Tokyo and appears in front of the enemy while acquiring the form of a huge giant. This is an epic work with the theme of multiplication and absorption, which is also applicable to Ishikawa's representative works, 'Majuu Sensen' and 'Getter Robo' series. This work, which was serialized in Shonen Captain, is coming to an end without seeing the true end due to the start of the serialization of Getter Robo Go, but according to Ishikawa while he was alive, he had plans to rewrite it extensively and incorporate it into a part of Kyomu Senki series (Futabasha ACTIONOMICS version of the book, at the end of the interview). Finally, with the release of the 2002 version of Kyomu Senki, that plan came true.
