✅ PLDT 2023 - International Symposium on Paediatric Liver Diseases and Transplantation, was organized on March 18 and 19, 2023, by The Liver Pancreas Foundation of Hyderabad and PACE Hospitals, Hyderabad, in collaboration with TSISG, LTSI, PATS, Osmania General Hospital, and Gandhi Hospital at the HICC, Novotel Convention Centre, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, inaugurated and attended by the eminient and renowned personalities in the field of Liver Diseases and Transplantation.

✅ It was the first of its kind meeting on Paediatric Liver Transplantation in India, involving Paediatricians, Gastroenterologists and Surgeons, and experts from India and worldwide.

Esophageal varices are enlarged and swollen veins in the lower part of the esophagus, typically caused by increased pressure in the veins that carry blood from the digestive organs to the liver. These varices can be dangerous because they are prone to bleeding, which can lead to life-threatening complications.

The first-line treatment for large esophageal varices is usually endoscopic variceal ligation (EVL) or endoscopic sclerotherapy (EST).
