Finn's Story

Finn is a 17-year-old boy from the Netherlands living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. His parents noticed differences in his development at 4 and 5 years old, but he was not diagnosed by a healthcare professional until he was 8 years old.

Finn and his family are very active. They participate in DMD Heroes, an annual week-long cycling event, as part of “Team Finnspiration,” where they cycle off-road through Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and back to the Netherlands.

A high achiever in school, Finn aims to attend university to study a biology-related subject. He enjoys PlayStation, wheelchair sports, spending time with friends, riding his electric hand bike, going to the beach and going to the movies.
