Elite Screens’ Aeon CineGrey 3D® AT is a fixed frame ambient and ceiling light rejecting (ALR/CLR®) projection screen that is perforated to permit acoustic transparency for use with in-wall speakers.

The thin frame design maximizes the viewing area into a smaller footprint which is more appealing in appearance and in accommodating room décor. The CineGrey 3D® AT is ISF Certified for accurate color reproduction, contrast and dynamic range to create a bright, crisp, and clear image.

What is ambient light projector screen?
The Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR) screen is a type of screen you can use in order to project a movie or a TV show as well as a videogame without shutting off your lights or needing a particularly bright, 3,000-lumen projector to see the image clearly and sharply.

Can you use ALR screen with regular projector?
Ultra short throw projectors cannot use an ALR screen designed for standard throw projectors, as those screens mistake the light from the projector as ambient light. This results in a completely washed out image

Does ALR screen work?
True-optical ALR screens reject higher levels of ambient light, up to 99%, from specific angles in a room. This makes an image brighter than when it is projected on a Contrast-based ALR screen. Light in the room is not reflected in the image, preserving contrast and color.

Do you need an ALR screen?
Yes it is a lot of messing around but the result is worth it, or you can go with all dark colors / black and a white 1.0 screen and do all your watching in pitch black and the image will be beautiful. That's the reason Commercial Theaters do it that way.
