In this video I share with you an easy recipe for instant masala chai mix that you can easily alter for a golden milk tea. This is as close to fresh chai you’re going to get, and far more authentic in flavor than those powders and syrups. 💛🍋

INSTANT MASALA CHAI MIX RECIPE
Ingredients -
· 120g (Palm-sized piece) Ginger, skin on. roughly chopped and dried in 70 C/100 F oven for 2 hours
· 4-6 Cinnamon Sticks
· 5g (1 1/2 Tbsp) Cardamom
· 3g (1 1/2 Tbsp) Black Peppercorns
· 1g (1/2 Tsp) Cloves
· 20g (2-4 heaping Tbsp) Black Tea (i.e., Assam, Darjeeling) OR Caffein-free Rooibos
· 70g (1/3 Cup) Coconut Sugar, Agave Syrup, Maple Syrup or Honey (not raw)*
· Milk of choice by cup, however many servings you need

Other possibilities -
· Fennel Seeds
· Star Anise
· Pinch of salt
· Vanilla
· Orange zest
· Saffron

INSTANT GOLDEN MILK MIX RECIPE
Follow all the steps above with just a few adjustments:
1. Switch out the tea for 1 tbsp (8g) ground turmeric.
2. When cooking tea, add 1 tsp coconut oil to help with turmeric absorption.

*You can start out with less sweetener if you’d like.
