TORO TimeCutter MX 4260 Wheel Modification

This wheel modification widens the rear wheel surface area by two inches by replacing the original equipment wheel assembly with one-inch wider tires, hopefully allowing for better traction on slopes. The spacers used widen the wheelbase by three inches.

Original Rear Tire Size: 18x7.50-8
Replacement Rear Tire Size 18x8.50-8

The intended one inch spacer was not wide enough to extend beyond the original lugs, so 1.5" spacers were successfully substituted.

Replacing the front wheels is not demonstrated in this video, but it's very easy to do, so I've included a link to the front wheels I bought to replace the originals. These front wheels are flat-free wheels, never requiring inflation.
