Here’s another story about why and how we use engineered timber in our houses. This time, it’s grain-matched glue-laminated beams—a technique that we’re using in a home in California’s wine country. Here’s a first look, just after the beams have been installed, of a modified version of the Axiom 2110 design—the same model we used for our Axiom Desert House in Palm Springs.
