Serverless and AI are two of the hottest topics. AI promises game-changing capabilities but delivering production-grade services still have challenges. Serverless helps but still requires complex orchestration. Combining them enables new categories of applications while minimizing operational burdens. This talk shows how WebAssembly (Wasm) unlocks a simpler way to build cloud-scale AI components.

We will cover:

Real-world examples of production cloud native AI services powered by this approach.

Through real-world examples, you'll learn how Wasm supercharges serverless to make AI as a service achievable. You'll gain hands-on experience taking AI workflows serverless powered by WasmEdge.

Attendees will learn a proven approach for running AI workloads in the cloud. They will gain hands-on experience building and deploying AI components as cloud-native Wasm microservices.

About the speakers:
Saiyam Pathak is working as Principal Developer Advocate at Loft Labs. He is the founder of Kubesimplify, focusing on simplifying cloud-native and Kubernetes technologies. Previously at Civo, Walmart Labs, Oracle, and HP, Saiyam has worked on many facets of Kubernetes, including machine learning platforms, scaling, multi-cloud, and managed Kubernetes services. He has implemented Kubernetes solutions in various organizations. When not coding, Saiyam contributes to the community by writing blogs and organizing local meetups for Kubernetes and CNCF. He is also a CNCF TAG sustainability lead, runs a YouTube channel, and can be reached on Twitter @saiyampathak.

Sven Pfennig is team lead of the load balancer team at Hetzner Cloud. With expertise in scalable distributed system and a passion for open source, Sven champions the integration of WebAssembly (Wasm) with Kubernetes. As a WasmEdge Ambassador and Tech Lead for CNCF TAG Runtime's WG Wasm, he's dedicated to advancing the possibilities of these exciting technologies.
