7 Questions to Ask Your Host Family | APOP

We're talking about the dreaded Skype call. This is something which most au pairs dread, but it's definitely worth remembering you're also interviewing the host family!

Some of the questions we suggest asking are:

What activities do the children enjoy? What are their names?
What do you do? (It's not as rude as it seems!)
Will you pay for my language lessons?
Do I have a curfew?
What level of English do the children speak? (but really though)
What food do you eat? Or will you give me money for food?
ARE YOU GOING TO PAY FOR MY TRANSPORT????!

Preparing a few questions before you speak to the family can seriously help calm your nerves.
