Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 Arrives in Rawlins, WY 2024

Come along, as we follow Union Pacific's 'Big Boy' 4014 during it's Eastbound travels to the conclusion of Union Pacific's "Westward Bound Tour." We begin with an unscheduled stop in the small town of Wamsutter, as the train clears the mainline to allow traffic to pass. This valuable time is utilized to get the locomotive serviced. It also allows Railfans to regroup from the day's EXTREMELY windy chase along the plains. From here, we roll on towards the small town of Rawlins, Wyoming. This servicing location/crew change point is a busy one, and we must sit and wait our turn to creep into town to get the Steam Crew's Boiler Dorm some diesel fuel. From there, it's a long shove in the Westbound direction towards the day's tie down point. Enjoy views of this massive locomotive as it works its way across territory it was born to tackle.
