Country drive in a classic 1976 Aston Martin

Описание к видео Country drive in a classic 1976 Aston Martin

From their early racing days in 1914, Aston Martins were designed to be purposeful. Later, as road cars they were no less purposeful: to transport “men of means” and their bombshell girlfriends from England to the south of France swiftly and in style. Stirred, not shaken (my apologies to Mr. Fleming, but he got it wrong!) Aston Martins are, therefore, considered more Grand Touring cars than sports cars…exactly what Bond needs when chasing bad guys across the Continent!

Aston Martin has survived The Depression, World Wars and receivership. Thanks in part to its connection with James Bond (with "No Time to Die", Astons will have appeared in at least 13 Bond films), Aston Martin stands today as one of the world’s most mythic and desirable automobile brands in the world.

This Aston Martin V8 Coupe is one of the last truly hand-built cars. Skilled craftsmen took 4 months to hand-roll the aluminum body, hand-assemble the engine and hand-stitch the 14 hides of Connolly leather used in its production. Classic Motorsports believes the Aston Martin V8 to be “one of the most completely rewarding cars you will ever drive…easily better than any Ferrari.” Indeed, Aston Martins exemplify automotive art.

In 1976 Aston Martin produced a total of 173 cars. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to drive one of these rare automobiles, this video puts you behind the wheel.

Turn up the volume, and enjoy!
