Indonesia Coast Guard and the World Maritime Nation Vision

As the biggest archipelagic nation consist of 17 000 islands, with 8.3 million square kilometer in territory, and 2/3 of it is water, the sea plays an important part in the livelihoods of Indonesian people. For foods, transportation, energy, everything. But controlling and safeguarding the sea is not an easy task. It’s not something that you can capture and then put a fence around it. So the best thing you can do is by patrolling it. And one agency who is responsible for that is Bakamla (Indonesia Coast Guard). On today’s video, we’re gonna look at the potential of the Indonesian waters, the challenges of safeguarding it, why we need the Coast Guard, and more.
