About Robert Schmidt:

Robert Schmidt was educated at St. John’s College in Annapolis and was heavily influenced by the culture there, and in particular by two of his teachers Jacob Klein and Thomas MacDonald. After an ensuing 2 decades studying Ancient Greek and German philosophy and translating obscure mathematical works, Mr. Schmidt went on to found Project Hindsight. Project Hindsight began as a translation project for Greek astrological texts that had not ever been translated into a modern language. Cast aside by modern academics, these texts proved to be a magnificent window into the mind of the Ancients. Mr. Schmidt went on to restore the system he called “The System of Hermes,” and created the field of Hellenistic Astrology. Ultimately Mr. Schmidt discovered that Western Astrology originated during the Classical period, shifting the accepted timeline back 200 years. He discovered who the original founder of the cosmology was, a contemporary of Plato, Eudoxus of Knidos.
