EMCO Dunka Mine

Описание к видео EMCO Dunka Mine

A look at Erie Mining's Dunka Branch and the trains that served it. The Dunka deposit was located about 12 miles east (as the crow flies) of the main ore body that Erie worked at the plant. To get there a branch was built off the Harbor mainline and routed to the south of Reserve Mining's workings. Trains were generally hauled by 2 units, one of which was usually the "Road King", Erie's only C424. This video is a combination of a bit of my footage and mostly that of longtime Erie/LTVSMCO employee and friend Doug Buell.
