Bakersfield project cuts down trees but plans replanting for shade and safety

Just last month, the City of Bakersfield made another effort in their ‘Keep Bakersfield Beautiful Project’ by cutting down two of the Olive trees located on 21st and Eye Street.
However they want to make it clear that this isn't their way of making the living situation for the homeless community more difficult.
As a matter of fact, they say their goal is to make it better.
