Description: In part one (1 of 3) of this scat singing overview series, Michele takes you through key aspects of the use of rhythm, syllables and articulation to achieve an authentic jazz sound. Special attention is paid to developing a strong sense of inner rhythm and the development of a syllabic repertoire. Specific exercises in the class will help you build skills and provide a method for continued practice. This class is designed for beginning and intermediate level vocal improvisers, but can be useful for all. (No theoretical knowledge required.)
