At the time of filming, Fritz Shurmur was the defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers. He was considered one of the most innovative and top defensive coaches in the NFL, Shurmur had coached on the staffs of the Phoenix Cardinals, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, and Los Angeles Rams. Shurmur's coaching career spanned five decades and includes extensive experience on the intercollegiate level. As the head coach at the University of Wyoming, his teams twice led the nation in both rushing defense and total defense. Shurmur is also the author of several best-selling coaching books and was a widely acclaimed clinic speaker.
