In this video, Sam Coleman demonstrates 4 deadlift variations using only resistance bands.

We love these simple resistance band deadlift exercises because you can literally do them anywhere and they are super effective for targeting the hamstrings, glutes, quads, lower back, and forearms. They are a lot more powerful than you would think considering all it takes is an elastic exercise band!

4 DEADLIFT WITH RESISTANCE BAND VARIATIONS

Exercise #1: Resistance Band Deadlift
- This is the standard deadlift that we all know and love. It is going to hit your hamstrings, glutes, quads, erector spinae muscles, and your arms. You can do this one slow and very controlled on both the concentric and eccentric phase or you can explode up and use a slow tempo on the way down.

Exercise #2: Resistance Band Romanian Deadlift
- If you are looking to really hone in on your hamstrings and glutes, this is the one.

Exercise #3: Resistance Band Sumo Deadlift
- Get your quads and glutes more engaged with the sumo resistance band deadlift. This is a very fun and effective exercise that will make you feel powerful (yes, even with bands!).

Exercise #4: Resistance Band Single Leg Deadlift (2 Variations)
- Variation 1 involves looping the band around one foot and holding on the the other end with the hand on the same side. For more resistance, just keep looping the band around your foot!
- Variation 2 involves anchoring the band to a pole and wrapping the band around your waist. Really try to lean forward while keeping your back straight. You want to try and make the back leg come up and make your arms, back and back leg almost parallel with the floor. To make it more difficult, either use a heavier band or step further away from the anchor.
