Ruba Byrd, pastor of Eugene Friends Church, will share with us about the Quaker spiritual practice of discernment, a decision-making process focused on listening together to find a shared truth or "unity" within the gathered community. How can a commitment to listening to and valuing every voice bring us to a deeper wisdom than any one of us might reach alone?

Our Eight Principles
1st Principle: The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
2nd Principle: Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
3rd Principle: Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;

by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.
