The Dirty Troughs Series is a series of interviews with people who have developed a reputation for the quality of their work.

The name comes from Proverbs 14:4, which says, "Where no oxen are, the troughs is clean; but much increase comes by the strength of an ox." In other words, if you want to get a lot done, you are going to have to embrace the mess that comes with productivity.

Joseph Backholm is the Senior Fellow for Biblical Worldview and Strategic Engagement at The Family Research Council. He fights for biblical values in culture and law, which is a messy business. In this video, he challenges Christians to get out of their comfort zone, explains the destruction caused by public education, and provides encouragement to honestly try to understand other people's opinions.
