Many people assume that insomnia is caused by having too much energy. But in reality, the opposite is often true. Your body is tired. Your nervous system wants to sleep. Yet your mind stays alert, active, and restless. Anxiety thoughts loop. Conversations replay. Future scenarios unfold. And no matter how tired you feel, sleep stays out of reach.

This happens because part of your mind is trying to protect you.

When anxiety exists beneath conscious awareness, your protector self attempts to process it automatically through the subconscious mind. The problem is that this process does not feel calm or resolving. It feels like alertness. It feels like tension. It feels like something is unfinished or unsafe. Your nervous system stays activated because it senses there is something important that needs attention.

In other words, your mind keeps you awake because it believes it is helping you.

The technique in this video works by changing where anxiety is processed.

As a result, the nervous system can finally settle.

Your body no longer needs to remain in a state of alertness. The unconscious mind no longer needs to push anxiety forward in the form of intrusive thoughts, tension, or restlessness. And sleep can begin naturally.

This technique is not about forcing sleep. It is about removing the internal resistance that prevents sleep from happening.
