Daystar Television Network president and co-founder Joni Lamb refuted claims that she concealed abuse in a video.
In the video, Lamb is seen responding to inquiries from her friends Anna Kendall, Dorothy Newton, Cindy Johnston, and Cindy Murdock. Lamb gave additional details about the day that her family member "Pete" is accused of abusing her 5-year-old granddaughter during an August 2021 family retreat and an incident in November 2020 in her earlier video statement, which was made public on Nov. 25.
"I didn't know about any abuse until November 2020, when Jonathan's wife, Suzy, called to report that there had been an incident at my granddaughter's preschool. She told me that a young boy had touched her and her friend," Lamb said. When [Suzy] called to ask if I wanted to go to school with her, I said, "Definitely."
Lamb revealed that she went to the school with Suzy. "We reported it to the school, and of course, you know, I was there to encourage and as I would for any child, but especially for my granddaughter," Lamb continued. So that's what really took place.
Referring to the 2020 incident, Lamb went on, "I was there, and Suzy actually called me to go there," and claimed that the accusations made against her by Jonathan and Suzy Lamb—discussed in The Roys Report—had been "distorted."
At a family retreat in 2021, Jonathan and Suzy accused Jonathan's brother-in-law, whom they have been referring to anonymously as "Pete," of abusing their daughter, who is five years old.
"Another incident that was written about was an incident that happened at our family retreat," Lamb said. We were all residing in this house together at that time in 2021.
My grandson mentioned that his sister had a view of the beach, while he had a view of the city. In reference to that one afternoon when a one-year-old boy and the person they call Pete were present, Lamb went on, "My two older grandchildren were staying in a bedroom upstairs. It was a long room with a bunk bed on one side and another bunk bed on the other."
Lamb continued, "All those details have been left out. So they went up the stairs, the grandson and Pete, and Pete had the baby."
