In today's video we're sharing our family's first experience cooking food in hollow bamboo internodes over an outdoor fire. We've never made it by ourselves, and we learned as we went along. Our girls did wonderful job helping to collect fire wood, make a frame to lean the bamboo against, prepare all the food, stuff the bamboo full of rice and other ingredients, and then cook it all in a gigantic fire (sorry girls, Daddy got a little carried away). This project ended up spanning several days, and went late into the second night. The results were unnexpected, and we learned several important lessons along the way.
