Hot Laps at Grand Prix Karting in Birmingham.
As a teenager, this was my stomping ground. It's where I, and many others fell in love with karting.
I spent quite a few Saturday's here. It was so sad to learn that Birmingham City council are planning to turf them off the site they have been on for years many years because they feel that the land could be of better use to businesses rather than giving the YOTS somewhere to go and be constructive. Too many youth centric places are closing down these days, what chance does the youth of today stand if they have nowhere to go and hang out.
This is probably my fond farewell to another part of my youth.
