GIANT 6:1 roped 9000kg EMCH Freight Lift near Berne, Switzerland

This lift is situated in an office / storage building near Berne, Switzerland. It was installed in 1990 upon construction of the building.
The building features two separate loading bay areas, one on floor 0, the other on floor 1. Also this huge lift with a capacity of 9000kg is not the only freight lift in the building - it actually runs in a combined shaft with two other freight lifts with a capacity of 5000kg each. This enormous arrangement makes for a single lift shaft of absolutely insane dimensions.
The smaller two lifts only serve the basement floors of the building, having their highest landing at the upper loading bay on floor 1. Only this giant 9000kg freight lift serves the upper floors until floor 4. The 5th floor of the building is not served by any freight lift. In can only be accessed by the 2 groups of 2 passenger lifts each, which are bottom drive and have their machines on floor -4.

All lifts were originally built as innerdoorless swing door lifts in the year 1990. However, not much else is known about the original state. Old components in the motor room hint at an Autinor controller, but nothing about the original motor or drive remains. The modernisation of 2018 has introduced common Emch components: An MPK411 controller with a Nidec drive and a Sassi geared machine. Vertical doors have also been added. The most notable features of this lift however still remain: The size is immense and a capacity of 9000kg on a traction lift is an ultra rare occasion. Same applies for the 6:1 roping, which is only found on the biggest of freight lifts like this one.
