Das chilenische Volkstanz Ensemble der Austral Universität wurde 1979 gegründet. Es war das einzige Ensemble in Süd Chile. Seit 1984 touren sie durch die Länder Südamerikas und Europas.

The Chilean folk dance ensemble of the Austral University was founded in 1979.  It was the only ensemble in southern Chile.  Since 1984 they have been touring the countries of South America and Europe.

Alle paar Jahre findet in Lettland das internationale "Sudmalinas" Volkstanzfestival, das gleichzeitig ein Wettbewerb der Gruppen untereinander ist, statt. In diesem Jahr das 9. "SUDMALINAS".

Die Gruppen aus unterschiedlichsten Ländern der Welt zeigen ihr hohes tänzerisches und oft auch musikalisches Können. Zusätzlich treten sie in einem Wettbewerb gegeneinander an. Die Bewertung ist bei vielen Gruppen außerordentlich schwierig aufgrund des häufig hohen Könnens und Niveaus.

Every few years Latvia hosts the international "Sudmalinas" folk dance festival, which is also a competition between the groups.  This year the 9th "SUDMALINAS".

The groups from different countries of the world show their high dance and often musical skills.  In addition, they compete against each other in a competition.  The rating is extremely difficult for many groups due to the often high level of skill and level.
