In this video I show you how I made a Bowie Knife from a rusted cultivator shank (probably 5160 spring steel) and some stabilized cherry wood.

It took me over 50 hours to make this knife, and about halfway through I almost threw it away. When quenched the blade the edge rippled because I had ground it to thin. So I hade to grind back the edge about 1/8 inch, which resulted in a more slender blade. But in the end it turned out fairly nice.

The handle is made of stabilzed cherry wood. It is held on and finshed with West System's G-flex epoxy.
