How to remove stuck spark plug boot IOP

Описание к видео How to remove stuck spark plug boot IOP

Over time, the rubber boot tip at the end of the "Ignition on plug module" get stuck on to the spark plug ceramic and break off. The stuck on rubber tip prevents the spark plug socket from engaging the plug for removal.
After wasting 2 hours trying to dig away the broken rubber boots with my homemade corkscrew. I saw a professional removal tool using a tube.
I went to my local hardware store with one of my removed spark plugs and found a 1/2" thin wall aluminum tube that would fit over the spark plug. I buffed one end of tube to make a sharp edge to cut under the boot and separate it from the ceramic plug.
Using a twisting and downward motion of metal tube separated the rubber boot from ceramic surface of spark plug. The Boot pulled out with the aluminum tube. Time to play music and finish the job.

Web sites sell a professional tube like tool for under $30. I think I spent $3.

I found the thin wall tube at Parkrose Hardware Store (Vancouver, WA) in the hobby supply area. I believe the supplier is KA Metals.
