Mother’s Day on the Eastern Shore — a perfect mix of indulgence, charm, and Chesapeake magic.

Started the day with brunch at Corals Restaurant in St. Michaels — their Eggs Benedict is a must, especially when it’s topped with local crab meat. Add in live music and a warm breeze, and you’ve already got a celebration.

A stroll through the boutiques helped us “digest” (that’s the official excuse, anyway) before treating ourselves to Jo Jo’s homemade ice cream — creamy, nostalgic, and utterly worth it.

Back home, I sank into a good magazine and a breezy nap in the hammock by the water, waves lapping quietly in the background.

Later, I picked fresh flowers and herbs from the garden to make a simple, fragrant bouquet — a small ritual I’ve come to love.

As the sun dipped lower, we set off by boat to Gina’s at the Bridge on Tilghman Island for dinner. The return ride gave us a front-row seat to a sunset cruise under cotton candy skies — the kind that makes you pause, breathe, and feel deeply grateful.
