The rules are a little different for using microphones to get your sound into guitar effects pedals, but luckily for us we have preamplifiers, or preamps for short. Preamps boost the microphone signal to an acceptable impedance and level to properly push effect pedals. In this video I compare a variety of options available to get your microphone sound preamplified so you can start having fun with effect pedals!
