Release of eggs from ovary is called as the ovulation. Ovulation happens once in a month and it starts only after attaining puberty. If the fertilization does not takes place, then the breakdown and removal of the inner lining of uterus along with blood vessels happen which is called as the menstruation. Cycle of menstruation happening every month is called menstrual cycle.
