As Russia launched its invasion last year, the charity Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) worked with Ukrainian Railways, the national railway, to construct a medical train that is designed to evacuate patients from war zones to the relative safety of towns and cities in the west of the country. The train has a power supply, oxygen generators and a state-of-the-art intensive care unit.
