🌞🌲💕Our beautiful & bouncy baby Xiao Qi Ji bounding boisterously with mama Mei & his keepers!🐾🐼💫

Xiao Qi Ji was super energetic last Friday morning! I arrived to see him descend from his tree, explore the hillside, munch boo leaves & wrestle loggies. He so adorable with his loggies, hugging & biting & rolling round 🤩😭 Then he was off like a hyperactive toddler, scampering up & down trees and practicing his ninja moves on mama Mei.. the old pounce and roll maneuver! It seemed like he was in a bit of frenzy racing round trying to play with everything in the yard for a few seconds only. It reminded me of preschoolers in the playground 🤭 The way Mei stared at him, like she was thinking what in the world got into you! He was moving so fast that I had trouble keeping my cam on him!

He settled down when it was sugarcane snacktime and grabbed 1 of the 2 big sticks, which was commandeered by Mei later after a vigorous chase. But he got his own little baby cane and finished it off with no resistance. Then Mei was let indoors while Qi Ji was still salvaging his scraps and keepers came out to refresh treats in the yard. Curious cubbie went over to Marty, who offered him a snack. But what he really wanted was to hug Marty's leggies and get his complete attention! You can tell Qi Ji loves his keeper buddies and they love him so much. Marty left apple bits on his fuzzy belly, which Qi Ji nibbled very daintily as he sat on the lawn looking gorgeous & happy!

I included some of my Sunday morning visit, which began with Mariel training Qi Ji at the gate. Mostly just saw her sweet face and Qi Ji's back, but it was very cute! Then he climbed up a tree and I waited 3 hours... alas I had to leave our beloved pandas before little one awoke.
