Dead and Decaying... Heritage Park Mall

Heritage Park Mall was opened in Midwest City, OK in 1978 (there is some confusion as to the actual date, but consensus is 1978). As with so many malls across the country, it was very modern and thrived in the 1970s and 1980s.
It began to lose its popularity in the early to mid 1990s, but hung on, slowly sliding downhill until its closure in 2011.

This was the mall where I spent my Jr. High and High School years as it was the only modern shopping mecca between Choctaw and Oklahoma City.
My last real visit to the mall was in 1988 when my family moved back to Oklahoma City and I was shocked to see what happened to it in the intervening years.
