Keith hails from New England, where he spent his formative years in the Seacoast of New Hampshire and the greater Boston area. His path took a significant turn in 2008 when he enlisted in the US Army. Over five impactful years, Keith served in Washington, Iraq, and Italy before receiving an honorable discharge in 2013.

After his military service, Keith pursued higher education with a Bachelor of Human Services Degree from Georgian College in Orillia, Ontario, graduating with honors in 2017. That same year, he and his friend Tyler Carroll co-founded Dead Reckoning Collective, a veteran-owned publishing company dedicated to bringing literature by veterans to a wider audience.
