How to fix your FLAT DRAWINGS - Beginner friendly guide

For this video, I wanted to go back to my toned paper and see what could be achieved through white charcoal. this is the last study on this sketchbook for a bit cause from next week I wanna make full portraits. But I thought it would be a good idea for this video as artists have this issue A LOT where the drawing looks super flat. Toned sketchbooks start you off with something instead of the pure white paper so you could say it’s a bit easier to work with in some cases lol.
