I was inspired by the xkcd comic Backward in Time to create a series of videos showing all of time, from the Big Bang 13.8 billion years ago to today. This is the 4th episode in the series, and it covers 5.4 million to 670,000 years ago, which includes the Pliocene and part of the Pleistocene. It covers much of the early hominid evolution, as our ancestors went from looking like short hairy apes to Homo erectus, who looks much more like modern humans of today, if not quite the same.

All images and animations were created by me. Voice narration is me. Sound effects are from free sources.
