After a challenging and painful two-month recovery, I'm thrilled to share a very personal milestone with you. Exactly two months ago, in mid-June 2025, I underwent a two-hour rotator cuff repair surgery on my right shoulder. The past 60 days were a journey of patience and healing, as my arm was completely immobilized. But today, I'm finally back doing what I love.

This video documents my very first drone flight since the operation!

By a stroke of coincidence, the authorities in Singapore have just lifted the drone flight ban over the Kallang Basin, which was put in place for the National Day rehearsal and event. It felt like the universe was telling me it was time to get back in the air.

Join me as I explore the vibrant Kallang Basin from a new perspective. Located next to the iconic Singapore Indoor Stadium, it's a typical Sunday morning filled with a hive of activities—from runners and cyclists enjoying the scenic paths to rowers gliding across the water.

Before my flight, I share my pre-flight checklist and even had a small hiccup trying to remember how to operate my remote controller after such a long break! You'll also see me experiment with ND64 and ND256 filters to control the bright morning sun and capture beautiful, cinematic aerial footage.
