94-year-old Alan, who served in the Home Guard during the Second World War, isn’t very mobile nowadays. He relies on the pieces of kit and equipment given to him by Blind Veterans UK to keep in touch with family and friends and to keep him living independently at home. This kit is provided by your generous donations and here Alan discusses Dad’s Army, his new equipment and thanks you for your support. blindveterans.org.uk/christmas

‘I’ve been given all sorts of equipment to help me stay independent, like a scanner that helps me read. It’s the best thing I’ve got. I hadn’t been able to read my own letters for years’ says Alan.

With your donations, you help give veterans like Alan the specialist equipment needed to help write out their Christmas cards and stay in touch with family and friends this festive season. Thank you.
